Ultro Group’s beginnings were in Construction Contracting. Ultro Group Founder, Matt Lynch, was a qualified tradesman and built his business as a contractor employing teams of tradies. Matt’s early experience in the late ’90s was an endemic reputation of unreliability and little support in the construction game. This behaviour placed people in the industry at risk, and Matt identified this and set about changing the behaviour and the reputation within construction.
Matt launched Ultro Construction Services in 2011, with a firm commitment to protect trade labour both physically and financially. Ultro Recruitment, as it is known today, provides this ongoing commitment to approximately 400 people across the construction, civil, logistics, manufacturing and food processing industries. Matt’s passion for Ultro Recruitment was to find a better way to protect industry workers..
As Ultro Recruitment grew, Matt followed in his father’s footprints and diversified into Plant & Equipment. Matt envisioned a better way in this market, to find strong brands with uncompromising, competitive performance and reliability. Important to business owners, Ultro Plant and Equipment also commit to offer an advantageous return on investment equation for the equipment owner.
2018 saw Ultro Plant & Equipment secure the SANY Excavator range for Victoria, followed by the POWERPLUS equipment range for Australia in 2020. In keeping with Ultro Recruitment’s commitment to tradespeople, Matt and his team’s commitment at Ultro Plant & Equipment is to ‘Keep you going.’ The most crucial requirement for a business, albeit a large Civil Contractor or an Owner-operator – when using our equipment, is the knowledge they have a Plant & Equipment partner who can and will keep them going to get the job done!
